Karyne B. Wilner, PsyD, Director
Karyne is the Director of Integrated Psychological Services Center in Providence, RI and Adjunct Faculty in the Holistic Counseling Program at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She held the position of Assistant Director of the Institute of Core Energetics from 2001 to 2011, and was Associate Director of the Australian Institute of Core Energetics and Senior Director of the Brazil Institute of Core Energetics from 1994 to 2004. Previous positions included Board Member of the Core Energetics Foundation, Director of Drexel University’s Counseling Center, and Group Co-Coordinator at the Humanistic Psychotherapy Studies Center. She has written numerous journal articles about Core Energetics and psychotherapy.
Charles Corley, MED, CCEP, Director
Charles is a faculty member of the Institute of Core Energetics in New York, and serves on the Executive Committee. He has a private practice working with couples, individuals, and groups. Charles has twenty-five years of experience running groups, including substance abuse, actor support, men’s support, and adolescent groups.
Kuno Bachbauer, MD
Kuno grew up in Austria. Early-on, he was attracted to the combination of therapy, bodywork and spirituality. His path led him to India and then to the USA where he settled in Washington, DC in 1983. After a literally life-changing experience with John Pierrakos M.D., Kuno started Core Energetics Training. He graduated in 1992, and is now a senior faculty member. His passion and specialty is to relate the Core Energetics process to the latest medical understanding of the connection between mind, body and emotions.
Stuart Black, DDS
Stuart directed the New York Institute of Core Energetics between 1989 and 2011. He is the author of:A Way of Life: Core Energetics. He is an instructor in the international training classes and has been leading groups for over 25 years. Stuart has been a teacher of the Pathwork in Mexico and in Phoenicia, NY, where he was both a member of the Board of Directors and the Spiritual leader of the Pathwork Studies Program. He has been an instructor to both faculty and students of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. He is creator of the Core Energetic Intensive, featuring team building, bonding and the Unitive Process. His greatest passion is creating Core Energetic communities, where students can safely share themselves, interact in deeply meaningful ways, expand self-awareness and forge lasting relationships.
Irene Durand Bryan, PhD
Irene, a licensed psychologist, graduated from Catholic University Andres Bello in 1977 in Caracas, Venezuela. Her Internship at Boston City Hospital was sponsored by Boston University Medical School. Irene has held teaching appointments with Boston University, Cambridge College, and Harvard University and most recently at the Core Energetics Institute where she is on the senior faculty. She is experienced in community mental health, in-patient care, the forensic field, and alcohol and drug dependency. As a graduated of the Institute, she attests to the profound personal and professional impact of this program. She currently practices in Massachusetts.
Brian Gleason, CSW, CCEP
Brian is a licensed psychotherapist and has been in private practice for 20 years. With a special interest in working with individuals and couples around committed relationships, Brian and his wife Marcia have developed a process called Exceptional Marriage, which integrates Core Energetics into relationship therapy. Brian is a senior faculty member with private practices in New York City and Westchester, CT.
Kate Holt, RN, CCEP
Kate is a senior faculty member of the Institute of Core Energetics and an international teacher. She has a private practice in Marlton, New Jersey and is the founder/director of the Philadelphia/New Jersey Core Energetics Training Program. She created the Mourning Out Loud workshops for people who want to heal from loss and has developed the Holistic Smoking Cessation Program, which incorporates hypnosis, energy techniques and support. Chosen by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence – New Jersey as a 2009 leader-advocate, Kate also offers consultations with Holistic Practitioners to support them in promoting themselves and their work.
Lynn Kreaden, BS
Lynn is the president of Lifeworks Center NY. She is Natural Health Consultant with certification from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, the Institute of Core Energetics, Zengar Institute and One Spirit Learning Alliance. She leads workshops, training seminars and process groups internationally focusing on the life energy and sexuality. She is in private practice in New York City. Her passion is to help create deep contact on every level of being through relationship.
Martha Powers, LICSW, CCEP
Martha is a clinical social worker who did her initial training at Columbia University and then trained in Core Energetics, graduating in 2009. Martha assisted Dr. Wilner in her first professional training program in Rhode Island and has co-lead a Living Core Program with Dr. Wilner, also in Rhode Island. She has done two Core-oriented workshops with national professional organizations (Museum Store Association and the National Association of Trial Lawyer Executives). She has had a full-time private practice in Providence for 7 years; she enjoys implementing Core Energetics with her private clients and when co-leading a Core Energetics psychotherapy group with Kristin David, PhD.
Yhanna Coffin, Practitioner
Yhanna is a Core Energetic Practitioner. She is trained as a Radical Alive Core Energetics practitioner and is an Exceptional Marriage Mentor. She also leads process painting retreats to explore the inner world of creativity. She has a private practice in Gloucester, MA and leads workshops and retreats with her husband Malcolm. Before she became a Core Energetic practitioner she worked as an artist in NYC with children, adults, the elderly and the homeless. She has an MFA from Hunter College, NYC and is also a practicing artist. She is passionate about helping people heal and open fully into life because that’s the gift Core Energetics training gave to her.

Kristin David, Psy.D., Practitioner
Kristin is passionate about helping people receive the most joy and pleasure from their lives. She spent her career studying the ways people heal and transform their pain. Kristin graduated from Brown University’s Warren Alpert’s School of Medicine in 2006. She went on to study Core Energetics in the professional program, graduating in 2011. Dr. David directs of The Center for Change in Warwick Rhode Island, where she practices psychotherapy, including Core Energetics, with individuals, groups, and couples.
Paula Noyes, Practitioner
Paula is a therapist in private practice in Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts. She completed the 2-Year Core Energetics Training with Karyne Wilner in Spring 2013. She came to Core Energetics through her interest in the Pathwork, yoga and the chakra system, family constellations, and other body- and energy-oriented psychotherapies. She received her training at Lesley University where she studied expressive arts therapy and holds additional degrees in English literature and language arts education.
Christie L. Wilson, LMFT, Practitioner
Christie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who has been practicing psychotherapy since 1990 and currently provides individual, couples and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive history working with those suffering from trauma, as well as, normal developmental challenges. After graduating from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology, Christie then earned her Master’s Degree in Human Counseling, Development and Family Studies at the University of Rhode Island. She recently completed a two year post graduate training in Core Energetics, which is a holistic approach of working with body and mind to heal wounds and enrich emotional well-being.
